Mallory has a little game she plays with Logan. She puts a random toy on his head and he goes crazy laughing. Mallory loves to play with Logan and make him laugh. Jillian even asked me why Logan doesn't laugh with her. Kinda funny!

Logan,Logan,Logan
I love taking pictures of my little baby. He is such a little smiley guy and his eyes always look so bright. He's a cutie!
Memorial Day
The parents went to the big Island, Hawaii, and brought back these cute plumeria clips. I love plumerias, they are so Hawaiian, don't you think? It has been nothing but guava juice and macadamia nuts galore. I so need to vacation there...maybe when I have my 40th anniversary I'll get to go. Glad they are back, it is hard to be by myself with 3 crazy kids, Nana, Rascal, and all the flowers to water. I only killed the sweet peas! (At least it wasn't rascal)So we had a laid back Memorial Day since they got in really late Sunday. We didn't even BBQ. We did swim and the girls made Papa start a fire so they could roast marshmallows.

Already 8 Months
How did Logan get to be 8 months already??? That is only 1 month less than the dang pregnancy. I guess the real question is, why does pregnancy feel like FOREVER? Anyway, here is my cute baby boy at 8 months. Logan has had a very big month. He grew in his first tooth, shortly followed by his second one. It was not a happy thing. It cost me 2 trips to the doctor. He also had a nasty infection at the same time, but maybe it was all just the teeth.
You can kinda see his teeth here. They are still growing up, but oh so pointy, which kills while he is eating, if you know what I mean!! OUCH!
He can totally sit on his own, but probably will fall if someone walks behind him. He tries to look at you and his big noggin tips him over. And the best thing...he sleeps ALL night long...that is right from about 9 to 6:30 or 7:00. This is huge for us. I have been getting up with him 5-6 times a night, and then up for good around 7. I started falling apart. I just hurt everywhere and could not make it through the day without my PEPSI, CHOCOLATE and MOTRIN.
Mother's Day
We had a great Mother's Day yesterday. Church of couse was NOT fun with squirmy Logan and my parents ward is so quiet that we never make it through. The girls went up to sing in sacrament meeting and Jillian stole the show. She got up right in front and started looking for us. As soon as she found us she had her million dollar smile. I was having flash backs of me being up there when I was little. Everyone stared at her the whole time and then commented to my mom(since I usually leave church to put the baby down for a nap) that she is the cutest! Well, of course she is...she looks like me. Ha Ha Ha
Monterey
We went to Monterey last week and had a blast. We love the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which is always a good idea. We hadn't been for a few years, so it was fun to go back. Jillian didn't really remember going before so she loved all the animals. I think her favorite was petting the bat rays. They were very cool. However, she kept asking where the dolphins were. We have been talking too much about going to Sea World once we move. The jellyfish display is the best display anywhere. Love it!
Here are the crazy seahorses.
After the Aquarium we went to get fried artichokes at this little shack close by. They are our favorite thing. We always go there after the aquarium. Kyle was NOT on board with trying them...just as well, more for us. They use fresh baby artichokes that they grow right there. So yummy.

Happy Birthday Papa!
Papa's birthday was on May 1st, and boy, did we have a party!!! Okay, not really. We went to see the movie Earth, which we loved, and then went for some yummy Mexican food. The Hemming's always do Mexican, they should move to Tucson. Gramma made her famous German chocolate cake, and a plain white cake for the kids, and Kyle

Logan's Roll recipe
I have been wanting to find a new yummy roll recipe, so I think this is it. Make it and tell me what you think. They are super easy!!!
We had a little pre birthday dinner on Sunday for Kyle, he is the original dough boy. Unfortunately the dinner went out the window when Jillian came home from church with a big nail that her teacher had given her. I took it away as she was charging Mallory with it, and she simply FREAKED OUT!!! Had I known she was going to scream and cry and have a tantrum for over an hour, I may have considered letting her have the nail as a toy! Anyway, the rolls were pretty good especially with our homemade jam (we made another batch on Saturday). They are called Logan's rolls because they are from Logan's Roadhouse, I haven't eaten there but heard it was good.
Recipe
3 cups flour
4-5 tsp. yeast
1tsp. salt
2TB sugar
1/4 cup dry milk
1 1/4 cups warm water
1 egg
4 TB butter, melted
Add 2 cups flour, yeast, salt, sugar, and dry milk in large mixing bowl. In separate bowl whip egg and water. Make a well with dry ingr. and mix in wet mixture. Stir by hand, 150 strokes, scrapping sides of bowl. Add melted butter and beat. Add rest of the flour a little at a time. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for about 45 min - 1 hour, until doubled. Punch down, batter is super sticky. Drop spoonfuls into prepared muffin tin. Brush with butter. Let rise for 30 min. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, or until they are done. I brushed them with butter as they came out too. Then smother with homemade jam!
