Halloween 2012

My cute cupcake Hallie!

She thought she was just so cute dressing up!

All the kids! Halloween is always just a crazy day! Doesn't matter how prepared you are, always crazy!

Jillian is so into Hunger Games, she dressed up as Katniss. She love the whole bow and arrow thing!

Somehow it just fits her.

Logan was going to be a pirate, but then we found this blue power ranger costume and he had to have it! He is a handsome little guy!

And last, my Nerd! Mallory looks so cute!

Halloween

I can't believe that Halloween has already come and gone! Where did that time go?? I kinda didn't plan for my kids costumes this year as usual. This baby takes away all my thinking and wanting to do anything! Originally the kids all wanted to be Star Wars characters, but that didn't happen. So, the old standby cheerleading uniform made it out of hiding after almost 15 years! I talked Jillian into wearing her Rapunzel dress if I bought the wig. She was so happy to have the wig.

We should have had these curly hair pieces back in the day. I slept with sponge curlers so many nights!

She looks so funny with the wig on. I know why the movie is called Tangled! That is exactly what the wig did!

My Little Dragon! So cute! This is the ONLY part of Halloween that I like. I love seeing little kids dressed up in cute costumes. I hate all the ugliness of Halloween. I ordered his dragon costume off of ebay. So I wasn't sure about it. It turned out so cute and worth every penny! He loves playing in it. It was filled hours of fun...not to mention really loud roaring, trying to scare his sisters. People from the city were taking his picture all night when we went to the party on main street.

The actual day of Halloween always turns into complete craziness...and it did! It seemed like we had so much going on that day, trying to make it fun for the kids! 20 minutes before we left to go downtown to the trick-or-treating party a 2 liter bottle of Root Beer exploded somehow. The entire bottle went all over my kitchen floor and splattered on EVERYTHING!! It was a nightmare, but my house did smell good! I was loving my steam mop all night.

Since we had trunk or treating a few nights before Halloween, the Rapunzel wig did not make it. We had to braid it all back. But it looked cute still.

We got yummy cotton candy downtown...the best part if the night. We wont be going back here next year. I wish someone would have told me its not appropriate for kids...we saw a lot of BOOTIE, not to mention other things. Gotta love it here!

Logan LOVED trick-or-treating, but would not let go of my hand. He got freaked out by all the scary masks.

I always make my kids trick-or-treat at my door for a special treat!

Logan was so tired and just wanted to play in his car at this point.

After all the fun, we came back and had pizza and witches brew, with more Root Beer!

I didn't get a picture of little Hallie in her cute Halloween outfit. She was busy spitting up and crying...imagine that!

Cowgirl, Buzz, and a Bug

We were so excited for Halloween this year. Mallory wanted to dress up as a cowgirl, Jillian decided to be a ladybug, and it just so happened that I had a brand new Buzz costume from before Logan was even born! He is so into Buzz right now, it worked out perfectly! I tried his costume on him a few days before and he loved it. He even cried and cried when I took it off. So, the rest of the week he begged to put it on, and I wouldn't let him. I knew it would all backfire on me, and it SO did. He had the BIGGEST tantrum when I was getting him dressed before our ward Halloween carnival. It took some good fighting, pinning down, and lots of will power to get it on. Such a Turkey!!

Love little JilliBugs face!!

Little Buzz! He is such a handful. Mallory was watching Logan in the front yard for me while I was getting our dinner ready to take to the church (it was a Mexican pot luck, SO RANDOM, I KNOW). Supposedly he tripped and landed on his forehead and got the biggest goose egg. Looks great, doesn't it?
Then on Halloween we got to dress up all over again. We went over to our cousins on base and had dinner and trick or treated with them. The kids had a blast hangin with their cousins.

I love Buzz's costume. The wing thingy was upside down.

All the girl cousins!
The poor kids got so hot. Logan's onesie was soaking wet when I took his costume off. I love Halloween in the desert! It is so nice not having to put huge annoying coats over such cute costumes and freezing to death!

Halloween Crafting Craze!

I can't stop myself from cutting black and orange vinyl and spray painting plastic containers. Good thing Halloween is almost here because I really need to clean my house! Some friends and I made these cute Spooky blocks. They were pretty easy, but it lead me to buy Sure Cuts A Lot for my cricut/computer. It took me almost 2 days to get it all figured out. I do love it and can NOT stop cutting vinyl.
Then, I had a crazy idea to BOO our friends with something different than cookies. Over the summer I collected left over plastic containers from Costco they were just throwing away. I did haul them home and have stored them in Logan's closet. I have been waiting for something to use them on. So, I broke out the primer and the cheap black spray paint and headed to my garage. I have about 20 left now! We filled them with candy, spiders, and glow sticks. We ended up making cookies too.

Since we can't carve pumpkin here, I decided to decorate them with more vinyl. They turned out ok. It was harder than I thought. The vinyl didn't go on too smoothly, but you can't really tell.
I bought a new Halloween cricut cartridge with all these cute images. The owl is my favorite!

Even got carried away with my front door!
I made these cute countdown blocks too.
I found these orange buckets on clearance at Michaels when they were getting rid of all their bright summer stuff. I need to remember to snag up the orange summer things and save them for Halloween.
On to our luminaries...the kids loved painting the inside of these jars. They are cute all lit up at night.
I saved my big pickle jar just for the owl

I had to put a picture of my cute Halloween owls. I talked my sister into making me a bunch of owls. She sewed them and I stuffed them. I think she did 32 for me. I have given them to a few lucky people.
