December Temple Trip

December was our ward/youth temple trip. We were excited to go because Mallory turned 12 in November and could go! She was so excited! Since I am in the YW presidency I already had to go, and Michael came to assist with the baptisms. It was such a wonderful day, long but wonderful! Living in Arizona we have to sacrifice a little bit more to make it to the temple. It's not just a 2 minute drive with all sorts of family around to babysit the kids. We meet at the church early in the morning, arrange transportation, then make the 2 1/2 hour drive up to Vegas. A couple from our ward goes up to babysit the kids across the street at the church (this is awesome). We switch off every month. Since it was the youth baptisms also, it took a little longer! Michael was able to do the baptizing with Mallory. She looked so cute and sweet! When we were done we retrieved all the kids and then went to dinner with some other families (this month Olive Garden won out over Cafe Rio). Then we drove home. We were so tired we didn't even stop at Costco or Target! Took us 12 hours to do the temple trip!

Temple Lights

We love to see the lights at the temple during Christmas time. We live pretty far away from one, so we were excited to go see the Oakland Temple lights. Beside the fact we were totally FREEZING, we all had fun. Michael and I actually went to the temple that day which made for a busy day.
This is from the top of the temple overlooking the grounds. So fun with all the lights!

I Love To See The Temple

While we were in Utah, we took a day and walked around temple square. It is so beautiful there, it actually made me miss Utah. We ate at the Nauvoo Cafe and saw the Joseph Smith movie in the Legacy Theater. It was such a fun day.

Logan was being a little bit crazy. He kept throwing grass on the girls head.

Temple Trip

We took a trip up to the temple this last week. My mom watched the kids while I did some temple work. We have been working on getting our family history done.
The Oakland temple is always so pretty.

Afterwards we went to Fenton's creamery. In the pixar movie "UP" the old man is sitting in front of Fenton's at the end of the movie. We decided to go try it since it is now famous. It was so so good. It makes other ice cream taste like garbage. If you are in the bay area, it is a must go!!

The girls shared the candylane sundae. The caramel sauce is a real homemade sauce that actually tastes like the caramel you make at home. I think I was licking their plate. And the homemade fudge...better than Ghiradelli!
My mom got this one. We should have shared, they were huge. She got the almond ice cream. Delicious. It was our favorite.
I got the fudgeanna. I thought Logan would want some of the bannans. He was going crazy over it. Everyone kept staring at him as he demanded some ice cream.
