Del Mar Vacation

We took a quick trip with cousins, and Michael's parents to San Diego! It was super cold, but we had a sandy good time!
The kids didn't seem to mind the freezing water and chilly wind. They had a blast in the water!
The adults tried to stay warm...which is hard when you are from Arizona where 75 degrees is cold!
They played up on the rocks almost the whole time. Funny kids! They loved playing with their cousins, we miss living by them!

Playing At The Beach

We started our fall break off with a fun trip to San Diego. We meet the cousins at the beach houses on Del Mar. The kids had so much fun playing together, they have missed them since we have moved. San Diego was gorgeous as usual! Since we stayed right on the beach the kids started playing before 9. It made for a LONG day for Logan. He fell asleep about 12:30 and they were up by 6:30, and no nap...until he fell asleep on the couch sitting up watching cartoons.

They loved this raft. It provided hours of fun.

Jillian and Megan

Mallory loved boogie boarding and just catching some waves. The water was freezing!

Logan loved playing. We haven't been able to play at the beach to much, so he loved being there for a few days.

The beach is always a good idea. The beach house was nice with little Hallie. She could stay inside and nap while we played. We had so much fun hanging out with family and sitting by the fire in the fog!

Watch Out For Jellies!

We went to San Diego yesterday and played at the beach. We had lots of fun with our friends, the ocean, and all the jellies!! Mallory and Jillian were stung by huge pieces of slimy jellyfish. They were playing in the ocean and ran in to say their feet hurt. Then huge globs of slime rolled up on the shore. The lifeguard used our bucket to put it in. It looks so gross!
Here is another piece that we found, a lot smaller than the first one.

Poor little Jillian, her whole foot got it!

Here they are recovering from the sting. No one wanted to go back in...for awhile. About 45 minutes later they were ready. I was kinda scared to put my feet in too.

We broke in our new boogies! The kids played with them for hours. So much fun!!

Jillian was trying to get the hang of it.
Logan surprised me. He wanted to play in the water and be so silly. He would make himself fall into the little wave. Then he would stand up when the water was pulling back and try not to fall down.

We were so tired when we got home, but it was a fun beach day.

Cousin Fun

After our quick 2 days at Disneyland we went to my sisters and stayed there for a few days. Logan was in heaven...with toys galore. Not to mention grass and cement that he could play on...what would that be like??? He stayed outside ALL day happy as a clam. Toonces got ahold of Logan's arm...BAD KITTY!!! (Logan may or may not have caused this)
Mallory and Ella making S'mores!

We all went to the beach for the day (we really went as an excuse to eat at the new cafe rio that just opened..delish).

I love this pic of Logan playing with his "Guck."

He was much happier at the beach being able to walk, as was I! He still tried to eat the sand though (gets that from his daddy). Doesn't the water look so fun? Can't wait to go back and try out our new boogie boards!

Just the boys!

This picture is funny..how's that fruit snack.

We got a little patriotic at the beach and dressed the kids in there homemade Independence Day outfits. They turned out really cute.

Ryan and Jillian looks so cute!
This is the best that I could get of my kids...thanks Logs!

A Day At The Beach

After our 2 days at Sea World we were looking forward to a beach day. We finally made it to La Jolla Shores. We have tried to get there before and always end up lost. It is a fantastic beach for kids...and Logan. Once again Logan scooted down to the water and loved it. The water was really cold and he didn't even notice...he did turn bright red after a few minutes.

Sassy and Sweet! Jillian doesn't really like to play in the ocean. Papa finally got her in after a few hours.

Papa found some big seaweed for Mallory.

The real reason why we go to San Diego...OTMC...Old Town Mexican Cafe. We ate here twice, it is so good. We cannot get enough of the hot corn tortillas with butter and salt. YUMMY!!

Our LAST MINUTE Getaway

Monday my sister called me and told me she had an extra ticket to the MILEY CYRUS concert. Mallory, being the sneaky listener that she is, overheard me and immediately started in with the "PLEASE MOM" bit. I told her no and hung up. After about 2 minutes of listening to Mallory, I called her right back and said....OK. So we jumped in our car the next morning and drove up to L.A., all by ourselves. ( I guess when the husband is gone so much, we can do crazy things). That night Ella and Mallory went to the concert with Ella's Dad, making him favorite Uncle (he has to take clients for work). Amanda and I wanted to go so bad! Ready to go "Party in the USA"
I never get to go to fun concerts, especially at 8 years old.

Here they are during the concert.

Amanda and I left at home to take care of the little babies! Sally and Logan being silly!

We decided to stay the next day and hit the beach. We even got Mallory boogie boarding.

Mr. Logan is a NIGHTMARE at the beach. He ate sand ALL day long, rubbed it in his eyes, and cried for most of the day, making Sally look like a little angel (usually it is the other way around). It was definitely not a "day at the beach". Still so nice to be away from here and enjoy the beautiful ocean and cooler temps.

My little Mallory doing her first ride on the boogie board. This totally reminds me of me at Newport boogie boarding growing up...just need MaryAnn at my side!

The next day we drove home. I thought we should make it to school Friday. We went into San Diego and ate at our favorite Mexican joint, OTMC. We love the corn tortillas.
Then we stopped at an outlet shopping place to do a little shopping, and playing. We had a blast taking off and being with our cousins. I love letting Mallory go to the concert and making memories with her cousin that she will remember forever. We will see them in another week...more vacations to come! Thanks Uncle David for the concert!
